Madecassoside
Madecassoside is a purified triterpenoid isolated from centella, with fairly well-studied anti-inflammatory and skin-recovery properties. Compared with crude extract, the purified compound gives a more consistent level in the formula.

Usually used at low levels (about 0.1–1%) in repair creams and serums. Use morning and night daily.
Pairing
Pairs well with panthenol, ceramides and allantoin, and is helpful alongside retinoids or after mild procedures.
