PHA (Gluconolactone, Lactobionic Acid)
PHAs such as gluconolactone and lactobionic acid are large-molecule acids that exfoliate very gently at the surface. They also attract water and have antioxidant properties, so they suit sensitive or dry skin and people who cannot tolerate AHAs.

How to use
Usually 3–10% in toners, serums or creams. It can be used daily, morning or evening.
Pairing
Pairs well with ceramides, hyaluronic acid and panthenol, and can alternate with retinoids. There is no need to add AHA/BHA in the same step.
